Robust replacement scriber includes a diamond scribe prealigned in a cartridge. The diamond is an eight-point tip with 4 facets at 45° angles.
The replacement scriber is easy to install. Loosen the set screw that locks the scribe to the FlipScribe®. Tilt the FlipScribe® up and pull the scriber and housing away from the tool. Drop in the new scriber. Thread the scriber into the housing and tighten the locking set screw. For more information, see the FlipScribe® manual.
After replacing the scriber, the tilt and height should be reset.
